Mariah Carey has worked tirelessly over her twenty-something year career to become one of the biggest stars in music. She didn't work that hard to be lumped in with any newbies.
Carey is said to be super pissed off that Nicki Minaj, who is 13 years her junior, is also joining the cast of American Idol as a judge. She reportedly hung up the phone abruptly when told of the news. She may get a momentary reprieve, though not for long.
"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet," said a source. "But yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more things to sign off on but it is happening."
Mariah's camp is denying claims that she's pissed.
"This is not true," a person from team Mariah says. "Mariah is too much of a lady to ever do such a thing."
