Today was a good day for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Officers discovered two marijuana grow houses in Hacienda Heights containing 1,400 marijuana plants worth and estimated $5 million. The farmer? 42-year-old Zhichi Xu, who financed and ran both of the pot homes. Southern California Edison says that the homes were using over $125,000 worth of stolen energy.
Xu was arrested for suspicion of marijuana for sale and his bail was set at $100,000. Nancy Botwin would be so proud.
