Ah, when high school teachers get caught with weed. 40-year-old Percy Melton, a science teacher at Elsik High School in Houston, TX, was caught with 53 pounds of weed in her car while driving on Interstate 10 in Louisiana Tuesday morning.
When the cop who pulled her over noticed that she was behaving strangely, he asked to search her car. When she refused, he brought out the K9, who immediately found the drugs, which were wrapped in cellophane paper inside of trash bags. The estimated street value of the weed is roughly $120,000.
Melton was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Her employer says they have not received official confirmation that she was arrested, but once they do, she'll be placed on administrative leave. More than likely, she'll be out of two jobs.
