According to the NY Post, Marvel is currently looking at either Felicity Jones, Imogen Poots, or Anna Kendrick to play the female lead in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The exact character name hasn't been revealed yet, but it would make sense for it to be Sharon Carter from the comics. Not only did she play a big part in the original Winter Soldier storyline, but she's also the niece of Peggy Carter, who was played by Hayley Atwell in Captain America: The First Avenger.
In addition to whichever actress Marvel goes with, Captain America: The Winter Soldier will see Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan return to the series, with newcomer Anthony Mackie set to play the Falcon. The movie will be directed by Community producers Joe and Anthony Russo.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier will hit theaters on April 4, 2014.
