Grumpy Old Men just took a morbid turn. 83-year-old William Leo McDougall was convicted on Friday for beating his roommate, 94-year-old Manh Van Nguyen, to death in October of 2010 because he was sick and tired of the older man singing in Vietnamese.
Both were recovering from hip surgery at Palm Terrace Healthcare Center in Laguna Woods, CA. One day, McDougall decided he had enough and repeatedly struck Nguyen in the head with a wooden rod from the closet. Though a nurse managed to stop the attack, Nguyen died later of blunt force trauma.
