Celebrating video game franchise birthdays has become all the rage lately. Nintendo recently sent fireworks up for Mario and Link's birthdays, and Capcom is going all out for the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter with a massive box set, a worldwide tournament tour, and a tribute art gallery in LA.

At the gallery's opening last week, we chatted with Capcom's Matt Dahlgren, the senior product marketing manager overseeing all things Street Fighter. The conversation jumped from topic to topic, but along the way we touched on upcoming anniversaries, and Dahlgren mentioned one that a lot of fans have been hoping to hear about: Mega Man.

"We had 15 last year for Resident Evil," he said, "and then we have Mega Man coming up. So stay tuned."

He wouldn't say any more than that, but it's nice to know the little guy (born in 1987) hasn't been forgotten. What kind of birthday party would you like Capcom to throw for him? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
