Capcom and Six Flags have announced a partnership that'll bring Resident Evil 6 to Six Flags parks nationwide for the theme parks' annual Halloween Fright Fest.

Pre-ordering the upcoming game online or at Gamestop gets you a discounted ticket to Fright Fest starting Oct. 6 (the week of the game's release), plus a voucher for a free haunted attraction and "exclusive ride time" on some coasters. There will also be demo stations at the parks on which to play Resident Evil 6.

Furthermore, Six Flags is hosting the Resident Evil 6: Fright Fest Getaway contest, which will grant one winner an expenses-paid trip to any Six Flags park. The trip includes flights, meals, admission, front-of-the-line passes, and Resident Evil 6 merch. Watch out for more info soon on how to enter.

It doesn't sound like Capcom is going quite as all-out as Konami is for the Silent Hill-themed Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Hollywood and Orlando. There's no mention of actually recreating elements of Resident Evil 6 at Six Flags' Fright Fest, for example.

Still, though, it'll be exciting to play RE 6 while weirdos in costumes stalk around trying to scare you in real life. Will you head to Six Flags' Fright Fest to revel in RE 6, or will you be busy playing it at home? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
