Falling in line with its main competitor, Verizon, AT&T has blacked out September 21 to September 30 from employee vacations. Looks like AT&T and Verizon know something that we don't. According the source at AT&T, the blackout was put into effect because "AT&T employees are undergoing training for an 'iconic release.'" With the big Apple announcement coming September 12, this decree fits perfectly into Apple's tradition of product releases. Last year, the iPhone 4S was announced on Tuesday, October 4, and the device went on sale the following Friday, October 14.

The rumors are sky high about the new Apple device but these vacation blackouts basically seal the deal.
