Of the many changes the next iPhone is expected to bring, the most talked about, behind the larger screen, is the smaller dock connector. Rumors have Apple replacing the 30-pin connector its used since the first iPod with a smaller 19-pin connector. However, if the above photo is to be believed, it will be even smaller than that.

The photos were first posted on the French website Nowhere Else, and show what appears to be the two sides of the connector next to an USB plug, for, we assume, size reference.

Apple is reportedly converting to a smaller dock connector to free up internal space. It is believed Apple will sell a converter that will allow people to use the new iPhone (as well as the iPad, iPod, and iPod Touch, which are all reportedly getting the new connector) with old iPhone-compatible devices.
