It's official: Warner Bros. has opted to reshoot scenes for the upcoming film Gangster Squad out of respect for the victims of the Colorado theater shooting, Vulture is reporting. This news comes after rumors swirled this weekend about the movie studio considering either pushing the release date back or editing out a specific scene featured heavily in trailers for the film involving a group of mobsters opening fire on a movie theater audience. The scene will be edited out and, as it was important to the narrative of the film, new scenes will be shot to weave the plot back together.
Despite reshoots, the movie is still due out on September 7th.
