Downloading updates and certain apps will become much easier in iOS 6. According to Cult of Mac, the third beta for Apple's next mobile operating system doesn't require users to enter their Apple ID password to download free apps.

In earlier betas of iOS 6, testers noticed that they did not need to enter their Apple ID password when downloading updates to their apps, or when re-downloading previously purchased apps. The move makes it so the only time you need to enter your Apple ID is when you're purchasing a brand new app.

Just the way it should be.
