Samsung scored a huge win today in its fight against Apple when U.K. Judge Colin Birss ruled that the Korean company's Galaxy tablets don't infringe on the iPad design. However, with that win came a sort of sobering realization as to why the Galaxy series can't be called an iPad clone: it's simply not as cool as Apple's tablet.
Seriously. According to a Bloomberg report, that's the reason Judge Birss gave today in London when he sent down his ruling:
"The Galaxy tablets 'do not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design,' Birss said. 'They are not as cool.'"
Hey, a win's a win.
