By now, President Obama's fondness for HBO's The Wire is no secret. He recently mentioned that it was "one of the best shows of all-time," and anointed Omar Little (played by Michael K. Williams) as the show's best character. In related news, the Obama campaign is having a fundraiser inspired by the show in Martha's Vineyard next month.

Tickets for the event are a pricey $500, and members of the cast may or may not be in attendance. One cast member that probably won't be in attendance is Dominic West, who played Det. Jimmy McNulty, the lovable curmudgeon. President Obama won't be there either, considering that he'll be a very busy man for the next few months. Still, if you're down with #44, The Wire, and have money to blow, you should make that move.
