They may be part of one of the best comedies on network television right now, but the stars of Modern Family might not be showing up for work when table reads for the fourth season begin next week, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The reason is because the cast is currently negotiating new contracts with the network to reflect the show's success.

Reps for stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, and Sofia Vergara are asking the network for $200,000 for each actor per episode, as opposed to the current $65,000 they are getting now. Series star Ed O’Neill isn’t involved with the negotiations because he already makes more than the entire cast anyway. Remember kids, you have to show Al Bundy your respect.

However, with how successful the show has become and how much money ABC stands to make from it, we doubt a deal won’t be struck by the time filming rolls along.
