There aren't a ton of games from 1984 that are still relevant today—even the first Super Mario Bros. came out in 1985. But Spy vs. Spy is probably one of them, if only for the fact that the name itself is still recognizable.

WB and DC Entertainment have confirmed that the Spy vs. Spy game for iOS they've been teasing recently is indeed a remake of the 1984 original for Apple II, Atari and Commodore 64 computers.

It'll have both modern and "retro" modes, with 16 new levels (tripling's the original's offerings), updated graphics and online multiplayer.

Spy vs. Spy debuts for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad this summer.
