Rumor: Microsoft Could Buy Activision-Blizzard

Turning all Activision-Blizzard games into Xbox/PC-exclusives, no doubt.

None

There's a rumor floating around that Vivendi, which owns 60 percent of Activision-Blizzard, is looking to sell the joint game publisher/developer for $10 billion to offset some of its massive debt, and that Microsoft is among the potential buyers.

How should gamers feel about that? Very, very afraid.

If Microsoft acquires Activision-Blizzard, they'll almost certainly turn all their games into Xbox/PC-exclusives. What else would they do?

So we'd potentially be waving goodbye to Call of Duty games on PS3, not to mention Diablo and World of Warcraft on Mac and even Skylanders on Wii.

Of course, lest our sensationalist ramblings get the better of us, we need to remember that this is only a rumor right now. Do you think Microsoft really could buy Activision-Blizzard? What do you think they'd do if they did?
