Not only is Amazon's rumored 10-inch Kindle tablet real, it will be accompanied by up to five other new Kindle devices in a full overhaul of the popular eReader line set for this fall, according to a new report in Reuters.
The report cites Staples retail president Demos Parneros, who has knowledge of Amazon's plans to release new SKUs.
The original Kindle Fire tablet was a smash hit last holiday season, so it's unsurprising that Amazon would look to turn up the heat in its competition with Apple by releasing a larger, more iPad-like version.
Fittingly, Apple is said to be looking to match Amazon by moving in the other direction. A so-called "iPad mini" with a 7.85 inch display is rumored to be in the works for Holiday 2012.
