If you weren't already excited to see Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Django Unchained - Christmas day! - maybe this will change your mind: At the Comic-Con panel for the film, which featured Tarantino, as well as stars Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington, Tarantino teased that there's a pretty unexpected piece of trivia in the form of a secret connection.
According to Vulture, after saying that Washington's character's name is Brunhilda Von Shaft, Tarantino commented, "Her and Django will eventually have a baby, and then that baby will have a baby, and that baby will have a baby, and that baby will have a baby, and that baby will have a baby ... and one of these days, John Shaft will be born." Gesturing to Washington and Foxx, "John Shaft started with this lady here and this man here! They're the great-great-great-grandparents of 'Shut your mouth!'"
Was he joking? Probably, but who cares - can we have a crossover now?
