Despite a massive amount of promotion on the USA Network's part, their new drama Political Animals debuted to less-than-stellar ratings last night.
The series, which stars Sigourney Weaver as a Hillary Clinton-like politician, was originally touted as a "limited series event," though the door was left open for a renewal if the show did well as was the case with The Starter Wife and The 4400 in the past. However, as it pulled in about 2.6 million viewers - which is good, but not great - it's not looking as if this will be the case.
