That Ouya Kickstarter that broke records by raising $5 million—well above its goal of $950,000—has a "secret weapon," according to a new update. And they've just made it not-so-secret: Muffi Ghadiali, a veteran of the Amazon division that created that Kindle, has been working behind-the-scenes to help make Ouya a reality.

"I joined OUYA because I saw--early on--the potential for an open technology to change how gaming works," Ghadiali writes in the update. "My job at OUYA is to ensure that we meet the needs of gamers and developers."

He said they're focusing right now on getting an SDK to developers, getting production started, and "maximizing performance" of said hardware.

Judging by the amount of money that's already been made, this thing looks like it's going to be a reality. And there are still three weeks to go.

Have you funded the Ouya yet? Why or why not? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
