Hot on the heels of announcements from both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez that they would be leaving their posts as judges on American Idol - in addition to rumors that Randy Jackson may be as well - People is reporting that Mariah Carey may be in talks to join the series next season as a new judge. "She's in play," an "insider" apparently told the magazine in reference to the discussions. "They are in serious talks."
