After selling tickets to his tour through his website in an effort to allow customers to bypass service charges that Ticketmaster and Livenation tend to charge, Louis C.K. is still a little surprised that it worked out so well (if you're not aware, it was a venture that made about $4.5 million dollars, and the 100,000 tickets available sold out in under 48 hours, so it's considered a fairly impressive success).

Speaking to the AV Club, the comedian elaborated, "When we hit a million [dollars], I thought, 'This is crazy,'...It didn’t feel like it was just about me; a lot of people had sort of voted with this money. It was an expression. This money that was in my hands now was a united expression by a lot of people of an idea." Additionally, "That sounds really lofty, but it’s not. A lot of people had a feeling, and they injected money with that feeling. Like they came money on me. [Laughs.] ... They came all over my face with dollars. And I’d never had anyone come on my face at all, so it was a new experience."

So, what does he plan on doing next? According to him, not a movie with Larry the Cable Guy. "If Dan Whitney and I are in a movie together playing cops, don’t go see it. Punish me for taking the money," he joked. Instead, however, he does plan on starring in Woody Allen's next film, in which he has just been cast. So, that works too.
