On top of already agreeing to direct the untitled Jack Ryan reboot at Paramount, Kenneth Branagh (Thor) will also be stepping in front of the camera as the film's villain, opposite Chris Pine, according to Variety. The movie is a re-imagining of the Jack Ryan character that has appeared in thrillers like The Hunt for the Red October, Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games, and The Sum of all Fears.
The movie will revolve around Jack Ryan (Pine) who is, "...now working as an analyst in Moscow who uncovers a plot by the company he works for to launch a terrorist attack and bring down the economy of the United States," according to Indie Wire.
