Well it looks like the rumors were true. According to Deadline, Wes Anderson has just cast Johnny Depp in his upcoming movie, now titled The Grand Budapest Hotel. It appears as though Anderson isn't wasting any time getting this into production, even though Moonrise Kingdom hit theaters only a few weeks ago.
With how quickly this movie is falling into place, we wouldn't be surprised if more casting announcements were made over the next few weeks. This will be Depp’s first collaboration with Anderson, but we think he will easily fit into the director's world. We just hope Tim Burton doesn't get too jealous about this.
