Sparrow, the alternative email client who's iOS app has been heralded by many as a welcome improvement on Apple's native one, has just been acquired by Google.
Creator Dom Leca and co. will join the Internet giant to work on, what else, Gmail, but promises Sparrow won't just disappear. Though there won't be any new version of the app, it will continue to be available for download and will continue to receive support, he says. Read Leca's full statement below.
