Google wants to make it as easy as possible for you to use its search engine. To do so, the search giant today unveiled a new feature called Handwrite that lets you scribble your search queries into Google 's mobile site nstead of using your phone or tablet's on-screen keyboard.
Google believes Handwrite will help people in situations where tapping out a search is easier said than done, like when you're commuting somewhere, or "standing on a busy street corner, in a bumpy taxi ride, talking with a friend, or sitting on the couch," as Google suggested.
Handwrite only works on Google's mobile site when using Android phones running Android 2.3 or later, Android tablets running Android 4.0 or later, and Apple devices running iOS 5. To turn it on you have to go to www.google.com on your phone or tablet, go to "Settings" at the bottom of the page, and enable it. Once that's done, refresh your page and you'll now see a lower case "g" on the bottom right of the screen. Click that and scribble away.
