There's something gauche about taking shots. On the one hand, there's a sense of ritual that can be exciting, that can bring drinkers closer together. But there's also the understanding that you're taking this shot because the liquor isn't good enough to be consumed in a reasonable manner (like sipping it). There's also the sense that you're doing this to become as drunk as possible, as quickly as possible.

So, if you accept those premises as true, why not go balls-to-the-fucking wall and drink out a shotgun shell? Or a tiny toilet?
