FX Not Giving Up On Adaptation Of “Powers”

FX Not Giving Up On Adaptation Of “Powers”

Despite casting, budget, and script problems, FX still hasn't given up on its adaptation of writer Brian Michael Bendis' comic book series, Powers, according to Variety. Apparently, the network is still planning on shooting the pilot script that Charles Eglee was hired to rewrite months ago.

The original pilot  was shot with Jason Patric and Lucy Punch as the leads, but the show didn't reflect the vision of the network so it decided to start again from scratch. If a pilot for Powers ever does see the air, it will need a brand-new cast to go along with it, and that could take months to figure out. FX might still want it to see the light of day, but we won't hold out too much hope of it ever happening.
