In other outrageous news, a teenager in Florida let an alligator bite off his forearm to prevent him from eating the rest of his body. Kaleb Langdale, 17, was swimming in the Caloosahatchee River when the alligator attacked him. The alligator initially bit his hand; when the gator's mouth opened as it snapped its tail around to hit Langdale, the teen put his arm in the gator's mouth so that it wouldn't bite down on a more critical part of his body—like his face.

After freeing himself, he swam back to his friends. He stopped the bleeding by covering the wound with cobwebs and applying pressure with his legs, like Chuck Norris would. Wildlife officials found the 11-foot gator and killed it. Though the arm was still inside of its body, it couldn't be reattached.

Langdale has managed to be in “good spirits” despite losing his arm. He even went as far as to say he was glad the gator attacked him and not one of his friends, out of fear that they wouldn’t have survived. Lucky them?
