In terms of ratchet news, Florida dominates the country. Zikomo Peurifoy recently learned that disobeying crosswalk signs will end in pain after being tasered multiple times by police for allegedly jaywalking. Police in Casselberry, FL, stopped Peurifoy for reportedly disobeying crosswalk signals, then tased him three times.

Though the video sparked controversy when it went viral, police are saying that the officers involved handled the situation so perfectly that it’s being use as an example for the correct use of force. In the video, Peurifoy refuses to give police his ID when asked, and is warned he will be tased if he doesn’t allow them to handcuff him. Police tased him once, then twice more when he attempted to flee. The third tasing sent him to the ground, where police promptly cuffed him.

Peurifoy was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer, and a ticket for jaywalking. His friend, Noelle Price, who is yelling “get your supervisor” to police in the background, was also charged with resisting an officer without violence after refusing to give them her full name.

Seems like all of this could’ve been avoided.
