After coming out of the gate hot by directing Cabin Fever and Hostel in the early 2000's, Eli Roth's career has stalled somewhat over the past few years. Hostel: Part II failed to make a dent at the box office, and since then, his most notable role in Hollywood was as an actor in Quentin Tarantino'sInglorious Basterds.

But it looks like Tinseltown is giving Roth another shot because according to Deadline, the director is in talks to helm Harker, a reimagining of the Dracula legend, for Warner Bros. And in another major development for the film, the site is also reporting that the studio has hired Russell Crowe to star in the movie has Dracula himself.

The movie will revolve around a young Scotland Yard detective named Jonathan Harker, who is a reimagined version of the character from Bram Stoker's original novel. We don't know what role he plays in this movie, or who will play him yet. But that should figure itself out once the script is finalized. We'll have more details on this project when they become available.
