Actor Norman Alden, perhaps best known for his role as Lou in 1985's Back to the Future, has passed away at the age of 87, Zap2It is reporting. Though Alden's appearance in the cult classic was small - he portrayed the owner of the Hill Valley diner that employed future mayor Goldie Wilson, and where many of the film's most important scenes take place - it was memorable, especially his exchange with Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) about "Pepsi Free."

Additionally, Alden appeared in many recurring roles on shows, including Not for Hire, Rango, and Gunsmoke

According to his family, the actor died of natural causes.
