According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harry Potter (perhaps better known to the muggle world as Daniel Radcliffe) has signed on to a film based off of Joe Hill's bestselling supernatural-thriller Horns. The film will follow the plot of the book - which is a best-selling cult hit - and is set to be directed by Alexandre Aja.
Radcliffe will reportedly portray Ig Perrish, a man who is the lead suspect in a case surrounding the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend. Then, "hung over from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his head...their power drives people to confess sins and give in to selfish impulses -- an effective tool in his quest to discover the circumstances of his girlfriend's death and for exacting revenge." Damn, Harry.
According to Aja, "Horns is a wild ride of sin and crime, with a love story in its heart." Additional casting is underway, and principle photography is set to begin in the fall.
