It's ok that the city of Houston Mayor's Office decided to put out a PSA about dealing with an "active shooter event" in the wake of the Aurora incident, but something about this just doesn't sit right. The instructional video, which was issued three days after the shooting in Aurora, advises anyone who gets caught in a similar situation to follow three simple course of action: Run, hide and fight.

Gawker says that the video was given financial backing from the Department of Homeland Security, but we're having a difficult time figuring out why the Mayor's Office would want their name on something with such an awkward tone. It's almost too unsettling to be helpful.

See for yourself.
