Here in the U.S. if you want to legally watch live sports on your computer, you turn to ESPN. Now the BBC is allowing folks in the UK to do the same. Today BBC launched the beta version of its BBC Sport for Facebook app. The app allows people to watch live sports such as Wimbledon or the Olympics via Facebook. Like other live Facebook videos, there will be a comment feature so you can talk with your friends and others while the match or event is happening.
Unfortunately, only UK residents will be allowed to access the BBC Sport Facebook since American rights to the Olympics and Wimbledon belong to ESPN.
