When Lindsay Lohan and Woody Allen were photographed at dinner together in New York last month, rumors began flying about a possible film collaboration between the two of them - especially with Lohan attempting to get her career back on track. But, alas, that was not the reason for the dinner. It was instead, according to Allen himself, just "social."
Speaking to Access Hollywood at the premiere of To Rome With Love, Allen said of the casting rumors: "No, but I wouldn't hesitate to use her in a movie because she's a very talented girl. That was a social dinner...but as I say, she's a very gifted girl, and I would not hesitate. If I had something for her, I'd certainly call her." And as for her sometimes risky behavior? "If there was some legal reason I couldn't [cast her], that would be a different story, but it would not concern me personally, no," he admitted. "I think that she'd be just fine and she'd do a great job."
