Tommy Chong, one half of the legendary Cheech and Chong, revealed to CNN that he is currently fighting prostate cancer. The symptoms first arose when he was in prison and away from marijuana about eight years ago, "so I know it had nothing to do with cannabis," said the comedian. And, of course, Chong is fighting his illness in typical stoner fashion.
"I've got prostate cancer, and I'm treating it with hemp oil, with cannabis," he told CNN's Don Lemon. "So (legalizing marijuana) means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested." He also added that he takes the oil at night, "...so I won't be woozy all day."
In the meantime, Chong and Cheech Marin continue to tour the country to perform their comedy routine for fans everywhere. You simply can't keep a good stoner down.
