Gotta say, we did not see this one coming: Vulture is reporting that celebrity/Scientologist super-couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are divorcing after five years of marriage. The two have one child together, Suri Cruise.
According to a statement from an attorney for Holmes, "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family...Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
A rep for Cruise suggests that he was "blindsided" by the news, and confirms that Katie is the one who filmed for divorce. "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy to work this out." TMZ adds that they are being told there is some "nastiness" between the two.
