Fans of Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show have long held out that Seth MacFarlane is an under-appreciated genius whose cutting edge comedy hasn’t received the respect it deserves.
Well, this Friday, MacFarlane will step up to the plate in a big way with Ted, his feature film directorial debut, in which he voices a teddy bear who is the lifelong best friend of John (played by Mark Wahlberg), a 35-year-old man who made a Christmas wish as an 8-year-old that his favorite toy could talk. As the adult John finds love with Lori (Mila Kunis), Ted finds himself getting shoved aside, but at some point all cursing, weed-smoking, sex-obsessed talking bears must be put in their place.
