During a conference in Los Angeles today, according to Deadline, Christopher Nolan reportedly made it "extremely clear" that he won't be making another Batman film, stating that, actually, there had never been any plans for Batman sequels after Batman Begins was released in 2005. "We never had a specific trajectory...I wanted to put everything into making one great film, I didn’t want to hold anything back," he said. Sad day.

Nolan's most recent - and apparently final - Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, is set to hit theaters on July 20th.
