Despite rumors of cancellation and the recent turmoil over creator Fumito Ueda's departure from Sony, the Last Guardian team is still working to get the game out into the world. Ueda told Kotaku that "It's been business as usual" at Team Ico.

Given the game's epic development cycle, every time a major gaming industry event comes and goes without word about the game, fans begin to wonder whether the game is even in development anymore. The Last Guardian wasn't at E3, so once again people are concerned.

As for details on the game or its release timetable, Ueda remains tight-lipped: "I can't really comment on the details."

Well, there you have it folks, The Last Guardian is still in development. If we're lucky, we may even get to play it before we have to start lining up to buy the PS4.
