Officially labeled as “beta,” Spotify’s Android offering was a bit threadbare compared to its other iterations, but now, Premium consumers on the mobile OS have a host of new features courtesy of today’s update. First off, a home screen widget allows users to control playback without opening up the app. And the “related artist” window also makes its debut, letting users find new music. Other details include 320kbps audio quality, hi-res artist images, and Last.fm scrobbling.
