Brenda and Aaron Beener, plan to open Harlem’s lone full service vegan soul food spot in August. The mother-and-son duo have taken to Kickstarter to raise $20,000 for Seasoned Vegan, which prepare serve 100% vegan soul food. Here’s their vision:
"We have found a great location and we need your help! We are extremely excited about opening the first full service vegan restaurant in Harlem, New York! This project is completely funded by us and we would greatly appreciate your support. Even though our goal is $20,000, of course we are looking to raise as much money as we possibly can. The funds we raise here will go to building our green kitchen."
