TMZ is reporting that Rodney King, the man at the heart of the L.A. Riots, is dead. His fiancée found him this morning at the bottom of a pool in Rialto, Calif. He was 47.
King was beaten by several members of the LAPD in 1991. Though there was substantial video evidence of the violence, the cops responsible were acquitted, setting off the L.A. Riots in 1992.
