Four Philadelphia police officers have been assigned to desk duty after a cell phone video of officers brutally beating a teen emerged. Marcus Warryton, 18, was driving his girlfriend’s car when he was stopped by police for running a stop sign. The video shows officers dragging Warryton to the ground and beating him to a bloody pulp.

According to police, Warryton resisted arrest after fleeing the car he crashed, and that two officers suffered scratches and bruised faces during the fight. Warryton remains in jail on $150,000 bond, and his family says he was beaten so severely that he required staples to close wounds to his head.

Warryton's family also said they’re still unaware of his charges. The officers involved will remain on desk duty while Internal Affairs conducts an investigation.
