As we await the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, one thing that was important to get right for this reboot was the love life of Peter Parker. In Sam Raimi's original trilogy, the romantic exploits of the Wall Crawler were done perfectly for the first two movies; unfortunately, everything fell apart in the ill-fated third installment. This version of the Spider-Man mythos is going back to the original comic book roots by making Gwen Stacy Spider-Man's first real love.
In this new featurette from the film, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield talk about what went into their on-screen romance, and how the dynamic between Gwen and Peter is different from what we have seen in the past. Hint: they're both dorks.
The Amazing Spider-Man will hit theaters on July 3.
