Mother Of Amy Winehouse's Ex-Husband Says Singer Wanted To Have A Baby

Despite their troubled relationship, private letters purportedly reveal that they were still very much in love.

Amy Winehouse wanted to have a child with her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, according to his mother Georgette.

Blake is currently in jail in Leeds on charges of burglary and fake gun possession, but his mom says that he showed her letters from Winehouse before he started serving his sentence.

"The letters show Amy was totally in love with Blake," she says. "She was besotted. She called Blake her proudest achievement."

Amy and Blake met in 2005 and were married in 2007. But two years later they split. The letters seem to indicate that Winehouse never really let him go.

"In one letter Amy wrote that Blake was definitely getting her pregnant within two months," Georgette says. "She talked about conceiving the baby — which they would call Lucky — on Valentine’s Day."

The pair communicated despite their divorce.

"Even after their divorce Amy told Blake she’d love him forever," Georgette said. "They carried on talking to each other until a few months before she died."

Georgette guessed that the last letter he'd received from her was in March of 2010, so that's a little more than "a few months," but still, she says Winehouse closed each correspondence with "Your Wife."

A tragedy.
