Mindy Kaling's New Show Adds Writers From "Community," Amongst Other Awesome People

More reason to watch it.

None

If you needed more reason to watch Mindy Kaling's new show, The Mindy Project, other than the fact that it's written by Mindy Kaling, here's some potentially mind-changing news: According to Vulture, the series has just named Matt Warburton - who was a writer for Community, and spent a few years writing for The Simpsons - as an executive producer. He'll be working closely with star and showrunner Kaling, and he's expected to more or less run the writers' room.

Additionally, Community writer Chris McKenna has been named as co-executive producer, Modern Family's Michael Spiller as lead director and executive producer, and Malcolm in the Middle creator Linwood Boomer as a consulting producer. Still need convincing? Here's the cherry on top: Kaling's former Office co-star B.J. Novak, who was an executive producer of the Mindy pilot, is in talks to be a  consulting producer for the show.

After all of this, if you still have doubts, we're really judging you.
