Just last week, Microsoft pulled the plug on software support of HTC devices, claiming the Taiwanese manufacturer lacked expertise in tablet production. Now, it seems Microsoft may have just wanted to focus all of its attention on its own foray into the field, as Microsoft will reportedly announce its own Windows RT-powered tablet at a press event scheduled for Monday. There’s speculation that the company may charge $85 on top of every device’s sticker price for its Office suite, which sounds like a terrible idea. We’ll know for certain in a few days.
