Looking to branch out from his Don Draper persona, Jon Hamm is in talks to star in Greg Mottola's upcoming improv-driven comedy starring Larry David, according to Showbiz 411. If the deal goes through, Hamm will play David's nemesis in the yet-untitled movie, which will begin filming this fall. Hamm recently hosted SNL and guest-starred on 30 Rock, and showed that he's more than capable of bringing the laughs.
Although the movie will be directed by Mottola, the script will be written by David and a crew of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld writers. Then again, with a movie that will be mostly based around improv, much like Curb, it's hard to imagine that the script will be strictly adhered to.
